It started humbly as an agricultural country, with several rural areas with people focused on agriculture and in promoting various agricultural products. But as time went by, the world has witnessed how South Korea has transformed into an urban country, being one of the leading countries in terms of technology and innovations.

Government Initiatives
Geographically, South Korea has access to scarce resources which prompted its people before to resort to farming and making use of their agricultural lands. But agriculture has made negligible contributions in the South Korean economy. As a result, the government has invested more on technology, manufacturing, and other innovations which the government has strategically laid-out in their policies in order to cushion any setback which the shift may cause.
It gave special attention to technology development, research, and in enhancing its workforce. As a result, South Korea has emerged as one of the most successful urban countries as of today. Although it has also faced several challenges in its manufacturing industries especially during the pandemic, but the government was able to plan out policies and strategies which actually helped in increasing its Gross Domestic Product by the start of 2022.
